Governance
Qatar Academy Msheireb is part of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. Chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned, Qatar Foundation is governed by the Executive Board of Directors, which serve as the governing authority that appoints the Board of Advisors for Qatar Academy Msheireb.
The Board of Advisors act as an advisory and community connection body, and meet with the school's senior administrators frequently throughout the school year.
Buthaina Al Nuaimi Ms. Buthaina Al Nuaimi joined Qatar Foundation in 2006 and held several positions at its Education Division and was a founding member of eight schools under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation. Ms. Al Nuaimi holds an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from HEC Paris in Qatar, a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Education in English from Qatar University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Educational Leadership and Management from the Institute of Education, University of London. |

Mr. Stuart V. Leeming Mr. Stuart Leeming is the Executive Director for Qatar Foundation Schools. He has led two multi-academy trusts in the UK as CEO as well as holding senior leadership positions in the UK private sector. He is a member of the Advisory Council of New Schools Network and the Alumni Board of the British Council, and has extensive school governance experience. A chemist by training, Stuart is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He has taught chemistry (A-Level and IB) and physics, and has developed integrated science curricula (STEM). He has led the development of novel curricula too; a bespoke curriculum for a newly established, alternative model Junior School and the adaptation of the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) to the English National Curriculum. With a strong background in the education of gifted students, Stuart nevertheless has a particular interest in Special Education Needs & Disabilities, and specific learning differences. He has overseen the development of academic tracking methodology and its use in improving student performance, and is a passionate advocate for student care and welfare.Stuart is married to Fiona, a Classicist, teacher and author, and they have one daughter. |

Eng. Ali Al Kuwari Eng. Ali Al Kuwari is the Acting CEO of Msheireb Properties where he spearheads the company’s strategy of developing and shaping the way people think about urban living and sustainable urban regeneration. He leads the teams responsible for Msheireb Properties’ key development projects; Msheireb Downtown Doha and Zulal Wellness Resort. Eng. Ali has over 19 years of experience, specialising in the fields of cost and planning engineering and project management. Before taking over the reigns as Acting Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Ali ran Msheireb Properties’ Design and Delivery Directorate, where he was responsible for developing and implementing strategic and operational plans and ensuring that all projects were devised and delivered within the agreed timeline, budgets, and quality measures as per Msheireb Properties’ stakeholders’ expectations. Before Joining Msheireb Properties, Eng. Ali worked at Technip (now TechnipFMC) in Paris and also at Qatar Petroleum (QP) where the rose through the ranks to eventually become the Acting Lead Cost Planning Engineer. At QP. He successfully executed many projects, including the construction of one of the world’s largest olefin crackers, LPG tanks at Mesaieed Industrial City, and fuel gas supply pipelines in Dukhan fields to name a few. Eng. Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami and an Executive MBA from HEC Paris in Qatar.

Mohammed Jassim Ghanim Al Kuwari A seasoned, customer focused and results oriented professional with more than 25 years’ experience in managing & leading enabling functions with deep expertise in Human Resources, Procurement & Supply Chain, Building & Support Services and Operational Excellence. Currently Mr. Kuwari is working in Ooredoo Qatar as the Chief Corporate Services Officer since 2011 & is responsible for ensuring Ooredoo’s business units are enabled in the most appropriate manner by meticulous management of Human Capital, Sourcing & Procurement and Facility & Support Services. Prior to this role, Mr. Kuwari was managing the Human Capital for Ooredoo Qatar and has held multiple leadership positions in the HR function. Prior to joining Ooredoo, Mr. Kuwari worked in RasGas for more than 10 years. He has a BSc of Business Administration from the American University, Washington DC and has numerous leadership development certifications. Mr. Kuwari serves in multiple Boards including Ooredoo Oman. |
